Hi Lauren,

Randy and I are so thrilled! Wonder and our other babies have bonded already. His son, sleeps next to him at night, Aja doesn’t hiss at him like she used to either. Indo not only sleeps next to him, they eat together. Hopefully, they will continue to love each other. Thank you for your advice in the last email, it helped. When we adopted Wonder we were concerned about the change in his environment and how our two cats, Indo and Aja would accept him. We gave Wonder a small room in our home with blankets from our other cats, so he could pick up their scent. After a few hours, we brought him to the glass, so that he could physically see our cats. We spent a lot of time in Wonder’s room holding, petting and observing him. After 2 days, Wonder was scratching to get out and he would run to our cats’ room. We then allowed him to enter the room, closely monitoring all three of them. Our cats hissed, growled and ran from him. Wonder would just walk away, never getting confrontational. We did this in doses for 2 days, and when they all started to smell, lick and get closer to each other, we allowed Wonder to spend the day with them. We are on our 6th day and they now eat, sleep and play together. We have allowed Wonder to sleep all night with them, without a problem . Another great help, is the Comfort Zone; it seemed to decrease Wonder’s nervousness. I believe that most adopted “Studs” make wonderful pets, but you must start in stages and closely monitor the situation until signs of dominance diminish.
